Windows XP Installation problem

I had Windows 98SE installed, and I made a Windows 98SE boot disk and I formatted C:, and when I put the XP disk in at the dos promt and typed in setup.exe, it says "Program can not be run from dos". What can I do to install it?

if you have 98SE installed, just put in the CD and run the setup.exe
you don't need to go to DOS

You can't install it from a win98 boot disk.

Just boot from the winXP cd-rom instead of a floppy, and install from there.
