Windows Xp Installation keeps repeating

Hey I am trying to install xp home onto a 1.6ghz emachine... It boots off the cd and goes through everything then it gets up to the part where it restarts.. then it just boots to the cd and repeats the process.. If I boot to the hard drive it says no OS found... What am I doing wrong. Thanks
