I just got a new HDD, and I'm trying to install Windows XP Pro on it. I boot from CD and in the beginning when setup is running, the screen is blue, and on the bottom it says Installing Setup Files. Right when that is about to finish, the computer just restarts. Anyone experience this, or know how to fix it? Thanks.

I dont know if this will help or not but have you tried installing it with just one ram stick as i couldnt get windows to install when i had 3 different rams in the 3 availible slots. I took 2 out and voila it worked. This however may not be your problem. You may also think about taking everything out and installing with just the cpu/ram/video/hdd to see if that makes any difference.

Hope this help,

I aslo had a blue screen problem, however it happened after formating the HD....

I just look out the CMOS battery, put it back in, and it worked! ( This was with a Brand new Motherboard though)

It is a long shot, but try it!

Hope this works!
