Windows XP Install error (installing retail over RC2)

im tring to install XP on my computer at school previously i have RC2 on there but now i get this error


error:
sxs.dll; syntax error in manafest or policy file "d;/I386/asms/6000/msft
/windows/common/pro/control.man" online 0

invalid at the top level

Serious question, is this a legit copy of XP? I've seen these issues reported here on CDR copies a number of times...

That was a common error when using a disk burned from the .iso file. The current version of Nero will burn the .iso properly.

Edit: The problem was with the .iso's that Microsoft made available to beta testers and the ones that can be downloaded by MSDN subscribers.
