Windows XP: Infinite loop error ?????

I got a blue screen while using Microsoft Excel. It was some sort of infinite loop error. I downloaded and installed all the updates from The Microsoft Windows Update page. Maybe something didin't get installed right, which is why I get htis error. Any ideas? Where can I get the update to fix this error? (is there a place where you can get it other than the windows update page?)

If you are using ie, click on tools->windows updates->(click on product updates or office updates)

I would update the os and office in the 2nd pass.

I'm guessing you're using a GeForce 3 card and the 23.11 drivers... update the drivers to 23.12 or one of the 27.xx series

It's a known bug with nVidia's latest drivers... however some users get the error, some don't, I for one, have never gotten this Infinite Loop Error, and I've been running my GF2 Pro for a long time now.

You could try some of the later drivers:

Hmmmm.... a blue screen from Excel? Interesting.

Try uninstalling all your printers and see if that cures the problem.

Applications run in user mode. You can't cause a blue screen from user mode. (Well, not without trying really hard, anyway.)

Some printer drivers run in kernel mode. It may be that Excel is enumerating printers and doing something that the printer driver doesn't handle well.

Also, can you post the bugcheck code and the parameters?
