The Staples flyer in this weekends paper has a "Special Buy" on Windows XP. The price is $84.90 minus a $15 off $75 coupon that was sent out in an email. Link below...

No rebates... just hunt for the coupon. Available in store, online or catalog order.
The lowest price I found on Pricewatch was $84.

What the verdict???

Is this the Home Edition? There was a recent PC Mag article about it that sums up pretty well why it's no good compared to Pro Ed. Some people won't mind, but make sure you know what you're giving up.

For the majority of us who don't have mulitple pc's on a LAN, or have a two processor mb, WinXP HE is just fine.

The diff? many network things, many security things, no built in back up utility, etc etc..., however for many it will be just fine. I suggest at least going to the link Tates offered so you know the differences.

I have a biz client who was sold XP home and now wants to do some light backup schedualing. Had to go buy him a seperate program for something he would have had built in to Pro.
