Including the extra junk that microsoft bundles with windows (bloatware) but not spyware adware etc how many are there usually?

I looked up the process, came from the Sassor worm, used a Symantec tool to deworm. 🙂

I strongly suspect that the worm was in an email .txt attachment. Can a worm hide in a text file?
