Windows XP home edition question

Being an MCSE all my expierence is in XP Pro. A friend of mine has a problem: his niece disabled his ability to change display settings. (wallpaper, screen setting etc) Something that can be fixed in a matter of seconds in GP editor. However, its XP home edition how can I reverse what she has done to it? If I had access to his computer I could prolly figure it out but I don't have home edition to look at.
