Windows XP Hangs

Alright, last time my computer started doing this and then all of a sudden stopped, and now it's doing it again and it's REALLY started to piss me off. The only thing I can access is safe mode. I've tried restoring to a previous point, to no avail. The problem is, when I turn on my computer at the XP loading screen it just hangs there, and doesn't go anywhere. No matter how long I want - it just sticks. I can boot up in safe mode, but not in normal Windows. It was working just last night, and now it's doing this AGAIN. I don't want to have to re-install Windows (again) so I'm hoping someone has a solution to this annoying problem.

Oh, and don't tell me to search, cause I did and that user is having a network related problem where it hangs on his desktop, not the loading screen.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Boot in the safe mode..run msconfig...select diagnostic startup...does it boot? If so start adding selective service back in, rebooting between until it doesnt boot..find out what is stepping on the toes of your OS.
