Windows XP freezes with a ZyXEL USB Wireless adapter

I started using a ZyXEL 802.11 b/g USB adapter on a windows XP machine. But now the machine freezes after about 10 minutes of internet usage.

Any ideas as to what the problem is or if the following idea is a good fix:

I was previously using the driver and utility ZyXEL provided with the adapter, now I?ve switched to the windows utility only.

I?m up to date on spybot and anit-virus.


is there any known issues with XP and wireless adapters. I know that's a loaded question since everyone knows windows has it's limits but useful or funny responses are still appreciated.
 
Does the "machine freezes" mean the whole computer or just the browser freezes??
There is also a possibility that the wireless router is having issues with your wireless adaptor. I've recently ran into this issue with a Belkin Wireless router and a laptop wireless card. Ended up changing out the Wireless router and haven't looked back. You might want to update your firmware on your wireless router and than might help/fix your issue too.
