to turn it off you go start>settings>network connections>right click local area connection propties > advanced> and uncheck the box that says winxp firewall

i have these connections in my network connections

1394 Connection
1394 Connection2
Internet Connection
Local Area Connection
Network Bridge

iv tried the others but no luck...i need to turn it off! thx!

You can turn it Off in any of them.

BTW are you using the Firwire for Networking and Bridging it with some thing else?

If you do not your, your Network setting look al ittle messy, you probably should diable the Bridge and the two Firewire Network Connetions.

:sun:

Try this option: start>settings>control panel>Windows Firewalll and change radius to Off. This is assuming you have Windows XP SP2.
