Use built in help to search for "Modem Log". You'll find it.

Looks like so:

To log and view modem commands
You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure.

Open Phone and Modem Options in Control Panel.
On the Modems tab, click the modem whose commands you want to log.
Click Properties, and then click the Diagnostics tab.
In Logging, select Append to Log if you are working on a computer running Windows XP Professional, or Record a Log if you are working on a computer running Windows 2000 Server.
Notes

To open Phone and Modem Options, click Start, click Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Phone and Modem Options.
Click View Log to display the log file. This file identifies the modem, and displays information about how it is functioning.
Commands sent to the modem are captured in the file:
Systemroot\System32\ModemLog_Model.txt.

The path is usually C:\Windows\System32\. Model is the name of the modem as it appears in the list of installed modems on the Modems tab of Phone and Modem Options.
