Windows XP, changing username issue...

Here's the deal...I recently changed the admin username on my comp to something new. The problem is that the folder under documents & settings never changed its title to the new username. Under documents & settings there are a few folders, such as "All Users" and "Default User", aswell as folders listed as whatever your username is. This is the folder i wish to change, but every time i try to rename it i get the message "blah blah blah is a system folder and is required for Windows to run properly, it cannot be removed or renamed"

Any ideas on how to fix this problem w/o reinstalling?

i would rename the admin account and create a new user to login as. you can copy the files from the admin account if you already have alot in there.

its safer to use a second account incase one gets hosed.

welcome to the forums too

I think there's a profile copy tool (at least there was in NT 4) that ensured the registry rights and things got set properly, but if you just changed the username the SID will be the same and that won't be relevant. You should be able to just rename it and have it work, despide what the UI says.
