Im running Windows XP and have a new M/B Epox 8KhA+ when I first set everything up about 3 weeks ago my USB has worked fine. I used my Camera and D/L pictures from the USB port. All of a sudden last night I noticed I couldnt D/L from my camera anymore. I went into my Properties and seen it says:
USB Universial Host Controller listed 3 times and all have the ! beside each one. Then says:
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

When i tried removing my USB and letting WIndows XP redect my USB and it comes up finding:
VIA REV 5 or later USB Universial Host Controller, then says it cant load the drivers for some reason. :|

I tried installing the USB drivers that came with my Epox CD and still no goal. In my BIOS I have my USB enabled as well.

One last thing a few days ago my mouse curser wouldnt show up when booting up into Windows XP so I went and D/L drivers for my Logitech mouse which supports USB but have it hooked up through my PS2 port. Do you think the drivers are conflicting or since Im using it as a PS2 adapter and my mouse supports USB it could be the culprit?

Thanks!

Only one way to find out, remove the logitech mouse driver and use XPs mouse driver. ;)

Has this issue been resolved BuckMaster? Because I've been having USB problems in winXP too. Specifically after a while it doesn't work anymore! Which is quite a pain since I'll be printing a large document on my USB printer and all of the sudden USB no longer works. I've switched my mouse and keyboard (both MS) to be PS/2 and now they'll work fine. I'm using a KT7-RAID so I've got a VIA chipset.

Nope no luck here! I tried unistalling the mouse drivers but still no USB. IM going to install Windows XP on another Drive and see if it will see the USB ports then to narrow it down to software or hardware problem.

If you do a search on BuckMaster I posted another post on this issue that has more details of my problem, but no replys yet! :(

Good Luck, Keep me posted and Ill do the same.
