Windows XP and overclocking.....bad mix?

My overclock is one of the best that I've ever had and is still stable, but Windows XP RC2 seems to not like it as much as Windows 2000 does. This makes me wonder whether or not Windows XP is as "overclocker friendly" as Windows 2000. I had to put my processor at stock speed before it would install and not STOP (BSOD) all over the place, and since then I've taken my Duron back up to 1050 stable. I'm going to keep going up till I find the breaking point. It's in a dual-boot scenario, so peripherals aren't an issue, unless you consider the way Windows is using them that doesn't agree with it.

I had no problem installing Windows XP Beta 2 (Build 2462) while overclocked, so something that changed between there and RC1 is the culprit. I've installed both RC1 and RC2 and they both STOP (BSOD) while installing, at the same points.

Any ideas/thoughts on this issue?

basically your overclock is too much, and although it didnt show up in win2000, it would have done eventually. Winxp probably just shows it up a bit more. However I dont know the ins and outs of this. I'm getting winxp preview version soon, and i'll let u know if it works with my overclock.
