Windows XP and gaming

Hi, I'm trying to run Car Tycoon on my setup. I have WinXP Pro. The system requirements say Win95/98/ME/2000. Not XP. It ran terribly slow on my PC so I tried installing it on my roommates PC (Celeron 450). And while it's not terrific, it runs better then mine. Is there anything I can do to run it on my PC?

right click the shortcut to it go to properties and try runnin it in compatability mode for win2k. might help, dunno. :]

I can run most of my games just the same, if not better. I would also try to run it in compatibility mode.
