So yeah.. I have been trying to get some old DOS games to run in XP and so far I am at a loss.

I installed DOSBOX, which works but it works like crap. Games are slow and some of the keys on the keyboard aren't mapped so I am limited to what I can do.

Anyone successfully gotten DOS games to run in Windows because I cannot. I have Google'd this as well and haven't yet won the battle.
 
Have you tried right cliking the game in win explorer,

tick RUN IN COMPATIBILITY MODE
select win95.
