ok, I finally got around to formatting my parents PC. Its had win95A on it for 5 years now....
I backed up all the stuff they needed and booted to dos and formatted.
When i run the windows 95 or 98 installation it crashes right after it says its loading the wizard...
Win95 hangs but i can still move the mouse, and win98 crashes completely.
Ive tried win 95 and win98 boot disks and win95 and win98 cdroms...
One time it displayed a text message just before it crashed. "integer divided by 0".
As we all no this is not a possible calculation.....
The PC has 2 banks of ram and ive tried them both by them selves..Ive also run a program called "Doctor Mem" and this said my ram was fine....
Has anyone come across this before?
Anyone got any ideas on how to fix it?

thanks
