windows won't detect mitsumi media card reader

every so often, my mitsumi 7in1 media card reader won't detect my memory stick. therefore, i uninstall the hardware in device manager and restart the machine. after that, my computer detects the device as a unknown hardware under the USB controller. should i RMA this device?

Does your memory stick come with any drivers(CD or floppy)? You may have to install it, before window detects it. Unless it is plug&play.

the drive it supposed to be plug & play.

check the wiring again, it should utilize a front port USB connectors within the tower, this wiring could be tricky

i have two internal usb connecters. there's a difference between them? the other connecter is being used by my case's front usb port.

They should be identical. Try switching them anyway.
