Help..

I just got 2 512 sticks of DDR, to go with my current 256mb stick of DDR in My ASUS A7V266. It regtonizes all the ram in startup and BIOS, but it wont boot my WIN 98se.

Is there something I am doin wrong?

Please help me, email me at FlyNReeLow@hotmail.com or AIM: FlyNReeLow

thanks to all....

Actually 98SE will recognize more than 512. Whether it uses it or not is another story. Theres a tweak you can use in the regestry. Go to Microsofts support page and search for memory you should be able to find.

Win98 with a gig or more of RAM hahahah that's hilarious.... if you open IE and winamp together you will still get low memory warnings no matter how much memory you have.. dude, literally, that RAM is sooooo useless in Win98 man.. you HAVE to switch to an NT based OS to use even ANY bit of that.. if I know a PC is going to be using Win98 when I build it, I make sure there is no more than 256 RAM in it, cause that is about the MOST you will ever see it benefit from (at least from what i have seen - many times)

I'd recommend switching to Win2K or I guess XP.. but 2000 is far better IMHO.
