Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade LIMITED EDITION

Refresh my memory on what they mean by "upgrade."

Also, what about those who reformat their computer every 3 months? Do you have to install XP, then get out the Vista Ultimate Upgrade disc to get Vista?

From what I see on Amazon it is $10.00 more not that that would make me buy it. The regular Ultimate edition costs $249.00 from there.

If it like XP all you need to do is have an old XP disk available to be checked when the install takes place.

Oh, so it's not something you just install over an XP install that isn't very clean? It installs clean but just checks to see if you have a valid XP CD?

Why would you buy the full version then? Don't most people that go with Vista have XP?

'Limited Edition' refers to the amount of interest in purchasing it, rather than amount of copies available for sale.
 
I won't be buying vista until SP1 is released and/or I get some better hardware, so probably in 2 years.
 
I can't believe they have the nerve to release that. What's worse is idiots like the OP think it's fvcking amazing just cos it has a slightly different box 😕 WTF is wrong with people...
