Windows Vista Questions

Hi i just got a new T61 laptop by lenovo. I have a version of Windows XP Pro edition as well as the vista home basic as well as the vista business addition and i was wanting input on what operating system i should use. I dont really care about the added security in windows vista.

I have 2 GB of memory is that enough for vista?

I dont have a great graphics card so that would hold it back with the 3d graphics.

How much longer will my battery last with XP as apposed to vista becasue battery life is an issue for me.

I kinda like the look of vista, i am very comfortable with windows XP so i am looking for advise that will help me choose what way that i should go. thanks for your time.

I dont want to do a dual boot becasue i only really need to use one operating system. I am just looking for some advise on which one i should use. I have the home basic and it seems lik the computer takes forever to load, and to shut down is that vista or is that the computer? any ideas?

More than enough unless you are running some incredibly memory intensive monolithic applications.

And I would stick with Vista Business and install Windows XP on a Virtual Machine in case a program refuses to run properly. Beats dual booting for sure.
