This is definitely not an official statement, but I was under the impression that RC1 would only be made available to those who had downloaded beta2.

From what I've seen, stash is right. You must have an activated beta 2 key to get RC1. I've been putting off installing Vista for a while now even though I keep telling myself to do it. Here's hoping it's not too late.

Anyway, you need to have signed up for the beta to get a valid key. If you did that, but don't have the ISO, then you'll have to use bittorrent to get it.

If you are an IT Professional and have an MSDN subscription or are a Microsoft partner you can still download the Beta from Microsoft.

You could look "other" places for it but you still need a CD key and the "other" places are usually files with viruses and malware.

Good luck.

RC1 is coming soon. Go to any MS event and they will hand out tons of RC1 CDs just like they did with Win2k and XP.

I have a Microsoft Action Pack subscription - the quarterly update just arrived this week with the latest Beta version of Vista; am looking forward to trying it out this weekend. :D
