Windows Update

I need to get Windows Updates to get on the network here, but the website never lists the updates i need, it perpetually hangs on searching for updates. I thought there was a website I could download the updates and bypass WU, if I am thinking correctly can someone give me that website?

Here's an alternative:

1) first download and install Service Pack 2 if you don't have it already (assuming 32-bit WinXP here). Reboot.

2) download and install Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/tools/mbsahome.mspx

3) use MBSA to scan the computer. It'll give you download links to the patches it needs. Since the system has SP2 at this point, you can just run the patches one after another without rebooting, and they'll come out in the wash when you finally reboot.
