Windows Update won't update? help please...

Yo guys, I'm just installed Windows XP Pro on my rig. I know there's many updates available, but for some reason, when I go to windows update, no updates show up?

Anyone else ever have this problem?

Just went through this same problem 5 days ago. This is what worked for me.

Right Click on 'My Computer'----> 'Properties'

Click on 'Automatic Updates' tab ---> Change the 'Settings'.... to anything. Hit 'Apply' and give it a shot again with Windows Update.

If that doesn't work:

1. Make sure your date is correct.
2. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Languages and make sure you have a language defined in there.

Also, the problem may be on Microsoft's end. I can't even get to their server right now.

I ran into that problem last week. It cleared up after a few hours. I have no idea why.

i had the same prob w/ xp a few weeks ago ... after a reboot all was good .... i think its the internet connection

Also make sure your date and time settings are correct.
