Windows Update Screwed?

For the last 6 hours, I have been trying to download the updates for winXP since I reinstalled it today. Whenever I try to download, the license agreement displays either an action canceled or dns error message. Then when it is downloading, the progress bar never moves but there is activity on the network and the name of the thing its downloading changes. When thats done, and it starts to install, it immediately comes back with an installation failed message for all the updates. Is anyone else having this problem?

Epyon9283, it's one of two issues, it's either a temp network problem w/ the MS server at the time you tried, or maybe it's an XP issue as I just tried and WinUpdate worked perfectly fine for me [Running Win ME]. Hope this helps.

May I ask if your version of XP is legal or is a cracked version?

Cheers

I tried that page a while ago and it did the same thing. Its still screwed up today so Im not really sure whats causing this...

This reminds me of some of my users. They cant get onto the internet, so they call me and say
"the Internet is broken!!"

Windows update is working ok. They have problems with it once in a blue moon or if there is heavy patching (eg first few weeks of a SP release).

I also can not get into windows update but I was wondering when windows update checks your system and says it's not sending any information to microsoft is it being truthful if you've seen any links on this topic could you list them
