Windows update lockup?

So, I came home from work/school today and went to use my computer - it wouldn't wake up, though. It seemed to be locked since the numlock/capslock keys wouldn't light up.

Anyway, I restarted it and there was a notification that windows had updated your computer and it needed to be restarted.

What Windows update would have cause this thing to lock up?

WinXP Pro (legit)
C2D 6300@3GHz
2GB RAM
x1900GT
etc.
