All:

I am baffled and have tried a ton of things to try and figure out whats going on with my system.

I have a legal Win10 version, on my machine, I honesty always do automatic updates and dont pay much attention. I happened to look the other day and I see this.

Updates are available.
Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709.
2017-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1507 for x64-based Systems (KB4022727).

They eventually fail..... I have removed everything from

C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution

I have stopped and restarted windows update service. I am really at a loss of words. I prefer not to wipe the machine.

I have downloaded the KB4022727 from Microsoft catalog, that hasnt fixed it.

I get this error in my win10 update history..

Any suggestions, thoughts would be awesome....

I have tried that as well :) LOL its becoming a pain in the arse.. thats indeed the feeling I feel right now...

Well that's all the usual steps that will take care of most Windows 10 update issues. I guess at this point I will sit on the sidelines and hopefully someone else here will have dealt with the same issue you experiencing, and hopefully have a fix other than resetting the PC.

Agreed @UsandThem !! I am hoping someone has been able to figure it out... I am honestly clueless at this point.....

I am not talking about regular Update.

Get a 1607. or 1709 Set/Update means getting a USB with the Next Level of Win 10 (you seems to have 1507.

I am talking about doing inplace installation of the next level of Win 10.

If you go to the catalog site and search for KB4022727, you may download that update manually. If it fails, try actually stopping the windows update service (wuauserv) and then run it again. Sounds crazy but I've had systems that could only install MSUs with the service not running.
