Windows Update Hangs

Whenever i try to download from Windows Update, my IE6 just hangs up, any ideas?

if you're not using xp then try using the IE repair.
in control panel >add|remove programs>IE>remove & a new box will pop up with the repair or restore option!

does the machine hang or does the update process just seem to get stuck?

on many pc's i try to upgrade i see it hang, but i go back the next day and it will go through just fine..

Same experience. I just keep trying it, and it eventually works.

I was going through a proxy server and that screwed me up.
