Windows startup folder won't start programs...

Windows startup folder won't start anything located in windows startup folder at boot. I think this might have been an unexpected side-effect of disabing a windows service but i have no idea what. Anyone have any ideas?
Any other ways to force a file to start at boot aside from creating an autoexec.bat?

You can start a program at boot time by putting it in the registry here - HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run/

I'm not sure what's wrong with your startup folder, what services did you disable?

I disabled a lot of them and dont know which ones. Did the reg trick and worked like a charm though thanks.
