Windows Sound problem

Asus A8N-SLI (using on board sound)
WInXP Home Sp2
A64 3500+

The problem is that I cannot get any windows system sounds. I have no problems listening to mp3s in the media player, and the device manager showns no problems at all. The control panel sound setting is set to windows default but I dont even manage to preview the system sounds.

Any help?




 
Ignore topic.

Resolved. I plugged in the front speakers in the wrong jack and windows only uses front speakers to play system sounds. So that explains it all.
