Windows Setup sees my RAID0 Stripe Array on Nvidia4 SATA as two drives?

I created a Stripe and ran Windows XPSP2 setup, shows two 70gig drives in setup.

When I install from the SIL3114 controller, it works perfect, but I'd like to run the Nvidia 4 SATA controller.

Clues??

Do I need a driver disk for the RAID on the Nvidia4 SATA ports maybe??

Location?

Yes, you need to put a couple files on a floppy in order run off the NF4 Sata ports.

Then, you need to press F6 during the windows install and copy the files off the floppy.

Or, you could just use the other chip. Not sure if there is much of a benefit of one over the other.

There is probably an addendum to the Mobo manual that tells you which files to use. I know on my Chaintech NF4 mobo, there was a little blurb about how to do it for SATA drives, and it just so happened that you use the same files for RAID as well (which is what I am using). So, you may check near the back of your mobo manual to see if there are any more details in there.

RAID should be activates in BIOS for the SATA ports you use with the RAID and install the drivers pressing F6 at windows install. i'm not sure, but I think the Gigabyte CD is bootable and has an option to make a drivers disk. May not be true..

Be warned when using the NV controller, I ended up moving my stripe set to the Sil controller, the NV controller would just freak out the interrupts process in WinXP and eat all my CPU cycles.
