Where are the best events to pick up free Server NFR? I could use some backup servers.

I subscribe to the Microsoft Action Pack... its like $299/year and you get internal use only/NFR copies of just about everything that Microsoft publishes, except for dev tools and games. Its been a godsend for my studying for the MCSE certifications.

Rebate, does MS do it with SQL and the other enterprise products when they come out?
I should start going to more MS events.. I've gotten W2k3 Ent from a AMD MS event with MB purchase, and Office from their XP release.
Yeah. I got three copies of both Visual Studio 2005 Pro and SQL 2005 Standard Edition from the recent SQL/VS launch events. MOST launch events give you free product (except for the MBS products). Some of the MS classes will also garner you free product.

Which is why it runs better. I've never missed any of these services and always turn off upnp on my xp boxes anyway.

 It does not run better, its the same code.

2003 is not the same code as XP.

5.2 kernel, IIS6, and of course all of the server-only related services. 2003 & XP don't carry the same relationship as did 2000 Wks/Srv or NT4 Wks/Srv.
