Can I use my windows server 2003 standard SP2 32bit key for 64bit version? And if so where can I get the x64 bit media from?

I don't know for sure. This link says the Key series are different (although I assume they are talking about the original version rather than the R2):

If you want to be sure you could start an install on a spare computer or a virtual machine and see if it gets past the Key entry. No need to Activate.

I do not think that "Windows server 2003 standard x64 that not r2" is a products that is still sold. (Do extensive search there might be some independnet venodrs that have few copies left in stock.

AFAIK the key for the x32 will Not work with x64.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa366778%28VS.85%29.aspx
It can be a bit hard to separate out MS documentation for R2 versus earlier versions of their software. But I'm pretty sure there was an x64 version before the late-2005 introduction of R2.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888733 - I see no "R2" description here

"This article lists and briefly describes Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and the x64-based versions of Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

These versions are the following:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Datacenter x64 Edition"

Wikipedia says the 64-bit version of Server 2003 was released in April 2005, months before R2 was released:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Server_2003

"Standard Edition

Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition is aimed towards small to medium sized businesses. Standard Edition supports file and printer sharing, offers secure Internet connectivity, and allows centralized desktop application deployment. The initial release of Windows Server 2003 was available solely for 32-bit processors; a 64-bit version supporting the x86-64 architecture (AMD64 and EM64T, called collectively x64 by Microsoft) was released in April 2005.[8] The 32-bit version will run on up to 4 processors with up to 4 GB RAM; the 64-bit version is capable of addressing up to 32 GB of RAM and also supports Non-Uniform Memory Access. The 32-bit version is available for students to download free of charge as part of Microsoft's DreamSpark program."
