So the power went out, and when I rebooted windows started up and usual. However, once I try to open any app (trillian, IE, ..anything) nothing happens, but it syas its running in the task manager.

So should I run repair function on my windows CD? If I do, what command should I use (and how).

I tried system restore, and running windows installer off the CD, which is doesnt let me do because I have sp2 and the CD is sp1

any suggestions? Thanks

fixed it, using safe mode and system restore. im dumb for not remembering to use safe mode 😛

thanks though 😉
