Hi,

I have an error that occurs often, though not all the time. When I shut down my computer, I get a blue screen that says

Windows Protection error. System halted. You need to restart your computer." I have had this problem for some time and can't figure out what is causing it or how to rectify it.
Please please please help!!!

Thanks

Soundblaster Live

How do I get rid of that damn blue screen?!!?!?

I've had that problem before.
I just made sure that I had all the latest drivers for my hardware, especially for the motherboard I downloaded the 4in1's from Viatech.
It shutdown fine after that.

Try the new drivers, but i've also had a windows protection error due to faulty RAM. If it happens every so often, maybe the rams going bad. Just a thought.
