Windows Protection Error For Windows ME

In power options i set the power button to either standby or shutdown.

When i put it on shutdown and press the power button, it goes to shutdown but then a blue screen comes up saying Windows Protection Error, must reboot system and system has halted..

Does this happen to anyone else..
