My problem is next:
I have 3 partitions, i installed windows 2000 on first and XP on second one, then i formated and reinstalled windows 2000 partition, but i realized that i forgot my appllication data and my documents i careated on windows xp installation (partition 2) i try add it to boot.ini but it i cant load from it. And i cant open Documents and Settings\Administrator because its protected somehow, i getting Access Denied error.
How do i open up this folder without having to install new copy of xp to third partition and then fixing boot ini to load from second partition, because i belive when you install second os it modify some files on boot partition.

Well if noone understand me then i put it simple, how do i open window XP protected folder?

As long as it is not ecrypted, take ownership of it and change the permissions.

In order to take ownership of it, should he not have the proper priviledges?

As an adminstrator, that would suffice.

I did some forum searches here and found a solution, try that.

Can't remember exactly what I put into the search though.
