1. unplug everything except the video, the mobo cpu, the PSU the RAM, and the primary HD/cdrom.
2. run memtest.
3, if nothing is found plug that HD into another pc and run some diag software that can tell if it is exhibiting I/O errors or not, like Ontrack software or something. Also check for hardware platter issues like bad secotrs
