Windows NT

Hey everyone!

I'm in need of a little help here. A friend of mine is having a problem with Windows NT, it starts up just fine but once the desktop environment shows up -- it freezes. The mouse is responding but never changes to the pointer (it remains as the hour glass cursor) and she isn't able to click/select anything. I'm not too sure on the configuration as I don't have the laptop with me right now, but any ideas would be appreciated.

*I haven't had to chance to do anything yet, I just want to be prepared for when I do work on it*

Extra info:
for some reason the A:\ drive attempts to read once the desktop is loaded.

Thank you!

Hi, how's it going? 🙂

Is your floppy cable hooked up properly? Is it configured properly in BIOS? Seems like it should be a simple problem.

BUMP! 🙂

Thanks for replying so fast!

However, my main concern is why the system "freezes" or doesnt properly repsond. The mouse moves but nothing else happens. Thanks again!
