Windows NT through a Linksys router

I am trying to set up a Win NT Workstation to access the internet through a Linksys 8 port router via roadrunner (cable isp) for a friend. He has several other computers on the network already connected through the router with internet access, but this one is running NT and I have no idea how to get it set up. Any advice? Thanks in Advance,

Unfortunately, I am not where the box is right now. I was hoping someone might have a link for a step by step guide to hooking this NT box up to use the router to connect to the internet. Where would I set NT to obtain an address automatically, in the networking section of the control panel?

To set the NT box (I assume NT4), right click on desktop icon for "Network Neighborhood", select Properties, then click Protocols tab, then make sure TCP/IP is on the list of Network Protocols.
Highlight TCP/IP and then click on the Properties button.
Make sure the option "Obtain IP address from a DHCP server" is clicked on.
Youll have to reboot and then it should start back up, grab an IP from the Linksys router and youll be all set.
IE settings should be set to LAN connection and not to modem

-This assumes the NIC card is already installed with drivers and working AOK
good luck!

control panel
networking icon
protocols tab
double click tcp/ip
Obtain ip address from dhcp server radio button
"ok" your way out and restart.

If you ever need to give it a swift kick and tell it to get an IP again do this:
Start
Run
type 'cmd' and hit ok.
at the command prompt, type 'ipconfig /renew' to get a new IP address from the linksys
