Windows NT and RAID

I know windows NT supports RAID 5, but does it support software RAID 5? I am asking this becuase I need a little bit of redundancy, but don't wanna buy a hardware RAID card. If it does, how would I go about setting it up

Looks like NT 4 Server does support software RAID 5. Microsoft calls it "Disk striping with parity".

Check this page for info (search the page for "Windows NT Server RAID Options" to get to the right starting point). Explains it and how to configure it.

HTH.
