Windows Networking question

I mapped G:\ on my P200 to D:\web on my P3

When I reboot the P3, the P200's G:\ is broken (of course) and there's an "x" on the drive's icon. That's perfectly normal since the connection is broken.

However, when the P3 loads Windows (2000 on both, btw), the P200 still thinks that the G:\ is broken... and my webserver (on the P200) accesses my site using G:\ (which is really D:\web on the P3) refuses to load pages until I double-click on G:\ and Windows understands that it's not broken anymore.

I now use \\Jellybean\web\ instead of G:\ and it seems to work fine, but is there a way that I could get this to work with drive mapping?

I know that, but that's not my problem

the problem is not on the machine that has just booted up

it's on the machine that has a drive mapped TO the machine who just booted up
