Windows Movie Maker problems

Part #1. I recently got a digital video corder and set it up with firewire and all, I opened Win Movie maker (WinXP Pro) and everything is in German? I did some looking through the help file and I see nothing about changing languages, I googles the hell out of it and see nothing about this problem.

Part #2. I downloaded Windows Movie Maker 2 and installed it and it just doesn't show up.....anywhere!, nothing in programs, nothing in program files.

What the hell is going on?

You didn't buy your copy of Windows XP from the back of some guys van that was wearing liederhosen and a fez (I'm picturing Chevy Chase in European Vacation dancing at Oktoberfest on stage with a bunch of German guys......) did you?

I'll take a look at my Windows Movie Maker this afternoon and see if I see anything that may help you out.

lol, no. Nothing else about Windows shows any trace of German .....except Oktoberfest Explorer, but we all have that.
