Windows Mobile 6.1 Contact to PC.

The company I work for hired a VP for our sales department. He has a phone that his previous company set up. They had an exchange account set up for this so he could push email from his phone. The problem is that this included his contacts. He needs his contacts imported to his current Outlook account but their doesn't appear to be a quick way to do it. I am not familiar with windows mobile as most of my smart phones have been Black Berry's.

Is there a way to export his contacts, or sync those contacts locally instead of the exchange account? He can't lose these contacts but he needs to be able to add to them as he grows at this business.

You can sync them with outlook, that is how I do mine. I flash roms almost daily at this point and find it quicker to sync them with outlook that using a PIM back up. Speaking of make sure you make a back up of the contacts ASAP before they are lost.

Take me for an Active Sync or Windows Mobile newb. I only recently hopped on the Smart phone bandwagon as I never really needed the extra features. When I did I got a BB because of some ease of use reasons.

I can't seem to get the current contacts to sync with outlook on the computer. If I choose outlook instead of Exchange, Active Sync will ask me if I really want to wipe the contacts currently on the phone. This is what I really really want to avoid.

So this where I would be able to use a PIM back up software like the one on dot fred? If I can save it as file would I be able to import it back after I have set active sync to wipe and sync with Outlook without resetting it to sync with with exchange? Would this then allow it to sync and therefore transfer these contacts to his current outlook apps (his Exchange account here)?

Sorry I just want to make sure I know this before I schedule another appointment with him.
