Windows Millenium Question.

I installed WinME Full version on my main PC. Everytime I install a program, regardless of what program, I get the usual setup screen but it takes 1-2 minutes for any program to actually start to install. I thought this was unique to my main PC but I installed WinME on my laptop and another PC and the same thing happens! Is there some funtionlity I can turn off in WinME that will just install any program without it taking 2 minutes to actuall start installing? It's very annoying being I download tons of game demos a day. Thanks.

I also have Windows Millenium installed in 3 computers. I don't have that problem of delayed installation startup. All of them are clean install.

I had this problem once - it started to happed afther Office 2K updated the windows installer.

I then reinstalled Office 2K and the problem was fixed

Additionally you can disable system restore (not always a good idea). Generally for me Millennium takes about 20 Seconds to start an install. If you need info on how to disable SR let me know and I will give them to you...
