windows media player

hey guys, how do i make my movies play on my WinDVD software instead of my windows media player. cuz it just goes right into the media player, while i want it to go to the WinDVD

any ideas?

in WinDVD there should be options to set the player as the default
system DVD player

Right click on file -> open with...

Also, when you pop in a DVD, do you not get a screen asking what to do with it (open files in explorer, view in media player, etc.)

no. well im trying to watch napoleon dynamite that i download of the internet.

Go into your preferences for WinDVD and change its association to DVD file extensions or avi or whateevr you are watching. If you cannot find it go into winodws media player and remove its associations with the files. I don't know if your computer will play automatically with the latter, but I think it will ask you what you want to do. Hope this helps.
