Windows Media Player X64 WIndows HELP!

I have a WIndows x64 edition and im trying to install either Windows Media Player v9 or v10 but it wont work, error messages pop up all the time. Thanks!
 
on WMP10 it says "This version of windows media player can only be installed on windows xp 32-bit"

WMP9 (XP version) says "This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft Web Site here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=28004. "

But i see some people can can install it.
