What is this "SRS" technology? When I enable it, the sound quality does become more rich!
How can I get this for Winamp? Any hardware I can buy?

there was a product called "wow thing" a year or two back. it consisted of software plugin and/or hardware for your computer. so i'm guess microsoft bought the rights to use it for its windows media player

edit* - there was a software plugin for winamp but i think you'll have a hard time looking for it.
 
Try MAD and/or Free Enhancer 0.7. It appears that the Enhancer's site is down for the rest of this month, due to exceeding its bandwidth, but play with MAD in the mean time (the error message claims that it will be back up in an hour, but when has that ever happened with Geocities).
 
hehee I have one of the original SRS sound spacers somewhere here.. it's a small box about 2x3x.5 with a switch that you plug into your headphones. It worked pretty well actually.
