Windows media player loading with windows, wtf?

This happened to me once before, for some reason whenever I loaded windows, "my computer" opened up too. I fixed that by reformatting 🙂. Anyway, I just installed windows media player 9 and now it loads with windows every time. Is there a way to edit something in the registry to stop this? I can always just uninstall wmp9 but I like it better then the original w2k version.
